📋 Key Responsibilities

As a PhD candidate, your main tasks will include:

  • Designing and conducting experiments on peptide-lipid and peptide-water interactions

  • Utilizing scattering techniques such as SAXS, DLS, or neutron scattering for structural analysis

  • Performing advanced microscopy (e.g., AFM, TEM, Cryo-EM)

  • Conducting ellipsometry and surface analysis of peptide layers

  • Collaborating with internal and external research groups

  • Presenting findings at international conferences

  • Publishing in peer-reviewed journals

  • Supporting the teaching and supervision of Bachelor/Master students (optional)

🧑‍🔬 Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an ambitious, hard-working, and intellectually curious candidate with a background in the physical sciences.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or closely related fields.

  • Solid understanding of colloidal systems, self-assembly, and surface science.

  • Proven experience in scattering techniques, ellipsometry, or microscopy.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior exposure to peptide-based materials, lipid systems, or drug delivery platforms.

  • Knowledge of simulation or modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, COMSOL, GROMACS).

  • One or more publications or presentations in relevant areas (a strong plus).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams.
