• Designation: Senior Executive – R&D Synthesis

🎯 Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Executive in R&D Synthesis, you will play a vital role in Symbio’s drug development pipeline. Your duties will include:

1. Planning and Execution:

   • Manage overall development work for assigned API synthesis projects.

   • Ensure delivery as per project timelines and quality expectations.

2. API Development:

   • Conduct literature search for APIs and intermediates (using SciFinder, Reaxys, etc.).

   • Develop non-infringing processes for regulated markets (US/EU).

   • Optimize synthetic routes to reduce costs, improve yields, and minimize effluent generation.

3. Analytical & Technical Proficiency:

   • Perform impurity profiling, characterization, and stability studies.

   • Generate lab validation and kilo lab/plant demo batches.

   • Assist in analytical method development and specifications.

4. Technology Transfer & Support:

   • Prepare technical packages and development reports as per regulatory guidelines.

   • Transfer processes from lab to plant. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.

   • Collaborate with plant, QA, RA, and procurement teams for scale-up and commercialization.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Maintain data integrity and documentation aligned with GLP/GMP.

   • Ensure all R&D practices align with regulatory expectations.

🧾 Candidate Requirements

• Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Organic Chemistry from a reputed university.

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in API synthesis R&D, preferably for regulated markets.

• Sound knowledge of heterocyclic chemistry, multi-step synthesis, and route scouting.

• Proficiency in interpretation of NMR, IR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS data.

• Experience with tech transfer to pilot plant or commercial scale.

• Strong documentation, communication, and team coordination skills.
