Dr. Yanna Liang’s lab at the University at Albany (SUNY) is actively recruiting a highly motivated Ph.D. student to join a cutting-edge research project focused on the remediation of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)—a class of persistent environmental pollutants.
🔬 Research Focus:
The selected Ph.D. candidate will contribute to innovative solutions for PFAS removal using:
- Phytoremediation techniques
- Sorption and stabilization technologies
- Thermal degradation methods

✅ Eligibility Criteria:
- Required Qualification:
M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline - Research Background:
Experience in physical, chemical, or biological treatment of emerging contaminants - Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with LC-MS/MS, ion chromatography, and other advanced analytical techniques is desirable
