🔬 What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct multi-step organic synthesis of photocages, photoswitches, and unnatural amino acids.
  • Perform photochemical characterization (quantum yield, lifetime, etc.).
  • Engage in solid-phase peptide synthesis and cell-based biological assays.
  • Communicate scientific findings in written and oral formats within an international environment.
  • Supervise and mentor Bachelor’s and Master’s students.
  • Work in collaboration with top-tier institutions including Max Planck Institute (MPI-TM).

🧠 Candidate Profile:

  • MSc or equivalent in organic chemistry, photochemistry, or related fields.
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in organic multistep synthesis.
  • Interest or experience in biological techniques.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Passion for exploring biological systems at the atomic level.
