This postdoctoral opportunity will center on cutting-edge research in:

  • Plastic Pollution – Understanding and mitigating microplastics and nanoplastics in aquatic environments

  • Advanced Water Purification Technologies – Designing novel materials for efficient and sustainable water treatment

  • Polymer and Colloid Science – Exploring new interactions and behaviors in complex colloidal systems

  • Environmental Remediation – Developing eco-friendly solutions for water pollution and chemical contaminants

Postdoctoral Researcher – Water Treatment & Plastic Pollution

Start Date:

Earliest start: July 1, 2025

👩‍🔬 Who Should Apply?

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in one or more of the following fields:

  • Water treatment or environmental engineering

  • Environmental chemistry or water science

  • Materials science, polymer chemistry, or colloid science

  • Nanotechnology or environmental toxicology

  • Microplastics/nanoplastics research

📋 Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline

  • Strong background in water treatment, environmental science, or polymer/colloid research

  • Demonstrated excellence in scientific publishing and research communication

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

🌟 Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as FTIR, SEM/TEM, DLS, Zeta Potential analyzers

  • Experience in developing or testing membrane filtration, adsorbents, or bio-based materials

  • Familiarity with regulatory aspects of environmental contamination and water quality standards

  • Strong project management and mentoring experience
