We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), UQ, for an exciting project titled: “Porous Two-Dimensional Inorganic Semiconductors for Photocatalytic Reactions”
🔬This project, supervised by Professor Yusuke Yamauchi (ARC Laureate Fellow) and Dr. Aditya Ashok, aims to push the boundaries of advanced photocatalysis by engineering highly porous 2D inorganic semiconductors. By combining electrochemical deposition with post-growth plasma treatment, we aim to fine-tune optical and electrical properties to significantly enhance photocatalytic performance.
💡The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in nanomaterials synthesis, structural/electrical/optical characterization, and cutting-edge photocatalytic applications.
