The Laboratory for Energy Materials at EPFL is offering an exciting Ph.D. position in the field of ultrafast magneto-chiroptical spectroscopy and materials chemistry. Our goal is to revolutionize how society produces and consumes energy by controlling charge, spin, and light in printable soft semiconductors and nanomaterials. We aim to design materials that enable the next generation of affordable, efficient solar cells, ultra-bright displays, and quantum information technologies.

Mandatory Requirements:

A degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with excellent academic performance.

A passion for both materials synthesis and characterization.

Preferred Skills:

Initial experience in materials synthesis.

Experience in spectroscopy and working in laser labs.

Familiarity with optoelectronic device fabrication (LEDs, lasers, solar cells).
