The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCHRC) was established in 2014 as part of the Tata Memorial Centre, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Located in Aganampudi, Visakhapatnam, HBCHRC is a comprehensive cancer care facility providing evidence-based treatment, education, and research support in oncology.

Spanning over 77 acres, HBCHRC plays a pivotal role in cancer care for the eastern region of India. The institute is a coordinating center of the National Cancer Grid (NCG) and collaborates in pan-India cancer research and training initiatives. A new 215-bed pediatric cancer block is under construction to expand service capacity further by 2027.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Mandatory Educational Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

Option 1:

  • Graduate in Science (e.g., B.Pharm, B.Sc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany)

  • AND Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research

Option 2:

  • Postgraduate in Science (e.g., M.Pharm, M.Sc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany)

  • AND Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research

✅ Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical research

  • Ability to communicate in Telugu (reading, writing, speaking) is preferred

🔧 Job Responsibilities

As a Junior Trial Coordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting clinical research projects and cancer trials at HBCHRC. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research teams.

  • Conduct pre-screening and recruitment of clinical trial participants.

  • Ensure strict adherence to ICH-GCP, institutional SOPs, and ethical guidelines.

  • Maintain case report forms (CRFs), study documentation, and regulatory records.

  • Monitor participant progress, support data entry, collection, and compliance.

  • Work with trial investigators, site personnel, and regulatory stakeholders.

🧠 Key Skills & Knowledge Areas
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)

  • Understanding of ICMR, Indian regulatory bodies, and clinical trial processes

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office, documentation, and patient coordination

  • Knowledge of Telugu for patient interaction is a bonus
