We are building resilient, scalable infrastructure to support global operations and are looking for subject matter experts in Unix Systems, Networking, Firewalls, and Data Backup Technologies.
This is a hybrid role requiring 5 days/week onsite in Texas and offers long-term project stability on a consulting basis.
🔹 Job Role: Infrastructure Consultant – Unix, Networking, Firewall
📍 Location: Onsite – Texas
🕒 Type: Full-Time Contract (C2C Only)

Level 3: $60/hr C2C

Level 4: $70/hr C2C

🎯 Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver expert-level support across Unix system administration, firewall configurations, and network troubleshooting.

Support daily IT infrastructure operations including NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, and EMC Data Domain.

Manage critical incident responses, problem resolution, and service delivery operations.
-
Oversee infrastructure build activities and catalog migrations.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and JIRA tools for project tracking.
-
Maintain full lifecycle of infrastructure: design, deployment, monitoring, improvement.
🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ 8+ Years Experience in Unix/Linux Systems Administration, Networking & Firewall Support.

✅ Expertise in NetBackup, Cohesity, and Commvault data protection systems.
-
✅ Familiarity with Index Engine, Veritas, and Infrastructure Build for backup solutions.

✅ Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, firewall configurations, and storage networks (SAN/NAS).

✅ Knowledge of AWS Backup and Azure Recovery Vaults preferred.

✅ Experience with JIRA, Agile Methodologies, and handling enterprise-scale production environments.

✅ Proficient in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python) to automate backup and networking tasks.

✅ Prior experience in building and scaling Cohesity clusters, Commvault environments, and tape library infrastructure.
